Modus High-Tech Electronics GmbH was founded in the year 2000. So far they sold more than 400 AOI scanners mainly in automotive industry. The Modus AOl system operates simply yet effectively which tests both glue and solder paste pads as well as components after assembly and soldering.
At the same time it’s very fast in comparison with similar products in this segment. A board in A3 format with 5000 components can be checked in 25s.
The Modus AOI optical inspection system operates using a high-quality, industrial scanner unit; the included sensor consists of a CCD line equipped with RGB color filter. The scanner unit records the full surface of the printed circuit board. The checking time is largely independent from the number of components to be checked. Recording and evaluation in color assures a high security level for accurate component recognition – thus keeping the pseudo error rate to an absolute minimum.

- One-Pass-Scan:
- The whole of the PCB is scanned in one pass with 1200 dpi,the evaluation takes approximately 3 to 25 seconds depending on the size of the PCB, max 300x410mm.
